Be who you want to be
Say what you want to say
Live how you want to live
Sing if you want to sing
Cry if you want to cry
Give if you want to give
But don’t let them hold you down
Don’t fade into the crowd
Cuz they don’t make the rules
This world is bright and blue
And it’s waiting there for you
Nobody rules you
Stay if you want to stay
Leave if you want to leave
Go where you want to go
Try if you want to try
Quit if you want to quit
Know when you don’t knowThink how you want to think
Pray if you want to pray
Doubt if you want to doubt
Fly if you want to fly
Hide if you want to hide
Shout if you want to shout
Fight if you want to fight
For something you know is right
If that something sets you free
Love how you want to love
Dream if you want to dream
And be who you want to be

As a lifelong fan of psyche, I was delighted to have found this, stunned that I'd missed them for three decades and devastated by the news of Dallas' passing. Makes many of the album's lyrics even more poignant. I hear echoes of the Chocolate Watch Band, Long Ryders and both the pop and country sides of the Byrds. Stunning, and a contender for my album of the year. Iain H

Normally a concept rock album about dogs shouldn't work. It couldn't possibly work.
This one does.
Brilliant writing, beautiful music. Matt's emotion and feelings shine through on tracks like Talking to the Sky and I Wanna Be Your Dog.
I mean, it is about dogs, right? Isn't it? Or is it... rob.cee

I feel like a dork for just now (May 2021) stumbling on this alternate version of GOODBYE Blue Monday. If it's half as good as the original, it'll still be twice as good as most of the other music out there. sandymanthemusicfan
