You can climb a mountain, you can swim the sea. Or find a cure to some disease. Or break every record in the book ya see (yeah) But who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Did ya live it right, did ya live it wrong? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? You can carve a statue, and stand it tall. And hang your painting on a wall. Press your hands in wet cement. But who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? You can come in first, be the best! Win the lotto, ace the test. Ya can line all them awards all up in a row. But who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Did ya live it right, did ya live it wrong? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Pop the question, cut the cake. Pop the cork, and consummate. Plant yourself a little family tree (yeah) But who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? You can write a hit, and be a star. Ride around in a big long car. And everybody reaching to touch your hand. But who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Ah! Did ya live it right, did ya live it wrong? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? They took you home now. Up to that Big House. Because it's where you long to go. Now I recall where, you 'was' a good friend. The wind will always blow. So I say, ooh ooh ooh ooh The church bells ring, and the sky turns grey And that big black hearse roooolls away And everybody tries to walk away I'm gonna miss ya when you're gone I'm gonna miss ya when you're gone Everyday, and all day looong I'm gonna miss ya when you're gone Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Who's gonna miss ya when you're gone? Did ya live it right, did ya live it wrong? I'm gonna miss ya when you're gone

5-4-3-2-1 let's go now I push through the crowd it's new year's eve I'm a stranger here in a far land And a punta rock band rocks punta beats Baby food jars, broken maracas Roadside trash and the power fails Dead air swims through radio waves now Through coral gardens and under water caves I just got this feeling Like I never got before Yeah you got me reeling And coming back for more Did you just get that feeling Like you never got before If this is a mistake I'm just feeling Then I should make them more And the school bus crawls Through pot hole land mines Through shot up stop signs And sugar cane Rosary in the rear view mirror Rain drop tears and wiper blades I sit next to an old lady praying I figure sit next to her I'll be ok All the way from Bomba to Ladyville I stow away, I stow away in her faith But I just got this feeling Like I never got before Yeah you got me reeling And coming back for more Did you just get that feeling Like you never got before If this is a mistake I'm just feeling Then I should make them more (solo) And the thunder clouds are growling Like they never done before And them howler monkeys howling With their implements of war And a hard hard rain it starts falling Like it never fell before If this is a mistake I'm recalling then I should make them more If this is a mistake I'm recalling then I should make them more Then I should make them more Then I should make them more

There's a woman counting quarters at the table There's a gentleman taking tickets at the door And I'm slipping out tonight Cuz the moon is yellow bright And I'm afraid that I don't love her anymore I heard a song come on a speaker It said something 'bout slipping out the back Or making a new plan n' some guy named Stan Well I said "Thank you Paul for keeping me on my track" I wish it was 1930 at the old Kentucky derby And I was riding White Lightning off the bluff Cuz I need a racehorse and some old rusty spurs Cuz I can't get away from her fast enough There's a woman rolling nickels on the counter There's a man chopping wood outside the door She said, "Every room is sold" So I slept out in the cold And it occurred to me I'd never slept better before I found a perfect dirty bar room Full of liars, cheats and losers all around I said " Gentlemen hold your pistols I'm just here to wet my whistle And forget that woman I left back in town" I wish it was 1930 at the old Kentucky derby And I was riding White Lightning off the bluff Cuz I need a racehorse and some old rusty spurs Cuz I can't get away from her fast enough You ever tell yourself a lie so many times That you convince yourself that it's true Well I don't regret a single thing in my life But I curse the day that I ran into you I wish it was 1930 at the old Kentucky derby And I was riding White Lightning real rough Cuz I need a racehorse and some old rusty spurs Cuz I can't get away from her fast enough I just can't get away from her fast enough I just can't get away from her fast enough

Well she came into my doorway like a whirlwind Dragging mud and muck across my floor She sat down in the chair where I was sitting Picked up my guitar and made a chord And she said, "your loves like Tennessee Tobacco And it's killing me and all I want it more Your hearts a lonely little chapel But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors" And she said, "Babe, did you forget today is Friday? And you promised that you'd take me to a show" I said, "I swear the TV said that it was Monday" And she kicked my shin and walked right out the door She took my car and drove down to the legion Grinding all the gears as she drove She said, "the old guys there know how to treat a lady And by the way your car got towed" I said, "Your loves like Tennessee Tobacco And it's killing me and all I want is more Your hearts a lonely little chapel But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors" Well I try my best and I swear I do And my best is all I know And I'll never leave this one horse town If you decide to hang around Well I found her in the morning at the table Hungover and staring at her spoon And I tried to make some cakes on the griddle She just laughed and sang her little tune And she said, "your loves like Tennessee Tobacco And it's killing me and all I want it more Your hearts a lonely little chapel But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors" I said, "Your loves like Tennessee Tobasco And it's killing me and all I want is more Your hearts a lonely little chapel But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors"

Perfect 2018 04:31
I got halfway to the canyon And all the stars were shining bright Your polaroid on the dashboard It kept me going through the night So don't wait up, just rest your eyes 'Cause I can't rush this beautiful ride Nobody move, this is perfect It's just like you I saw the sun c-c-crash in the ocean And all the vampires on their way All the pretty girls spill tanning lotion And they scatter in the rain And my walkman sang my favorite song In this perfect light I can't go wrong Nobody move, this is perfect It's just like you I'm counting the drop that ran down the window The constellation of broken glass And all the stars fell like disco and I woke up in your lap

I recall the day The temperature in town I never felt that way The day you said you would be mine But after years of It's been tugging at our flame Is there something i don't know? Because you don't look at me the same So i'm leaving on a midnight train I'm leaving on a midnight train If you don't call my name I'm leaving on a midnight train A razor and a blade I got my toothbrush and my comb I made my great escape And now i'm all alone So i'm leaving on a midnight train I'm leaving on a midnight train If you don't call my name I'm leaving on a midnight train I'm standind at the gate I got my ticket in my hand I'm praying you're just late I still don't understand I sank into my seat The whistle howled in the rain We slowly pulled away And no one called my name So i left on a midnight train I left on a midnight train No one called my name So i left on a midnight train Then i heard a voice Is this seat right here free? Mmm, she said you get no choice And now she's curled up here with me She bought a ticket for a midnight train She left on a midnight train She called out my name We left on a midnight train A midnight train (fade out)

You took a picture Of my crooked smile I was so full of liquor There is no denial I laughed when I saw it I said take one again I will love you for miles I will love you for miles I will love you for miles Until this road ends I took her picture But not of her face 'Cause I love your fingers Every wrinkle and trace You sighed when you saw it You said "they look old" I said I will love you for miles I will love you for miles I will love you for miles Until this road ends I went to a psychic When I got nothing from prayer I need a glimpse of the future To see if you're there I gazed into her crystal She said "what do you see?" I said I will love her for miles I will love her for miles I will love her for miles Or until this road ends

about

We’re excited to announce the 1st of a three-part, best-of, re-recordings, trio-trilogy (starting with Volume 2 - 2003-2014). Sounds confusing eh? Think of it like Star Wars. You know, all out of order. And why you ask? Well, sometimes songs don’t get a fair shake. Sometimes they get stranded, lost or out grow themselves overtime, or become something new. These are a few songs that have taken on such a new life in the last 7 years that we thought it would be cool to share these newer versions with you. It all began when I’d started multi-tracking rehearsals. The result is live off-the-floor bed tracks with a few overdubs. It’s been about 7 years playing as a trio with Davide Direnzo & Mark Mcintyre and we really have become something of a ouija board when it comes to reading each other. I’m so lucky to play with these astonishing players and great guys. The trio has grown to include floating members Rob Carli, Chris Malleck and Ben Rollo and it’s become something of a family to me. You won’t find better players, funnier guys or inspiring gentlemen. It’s with great pride I present these new/old tracks and some fun photos from the last 7 years. And what better day to release it on than Bowie’s birthday (who released a surprise album a year ago today too).
